Beauty in Motion

A cold north wind blows

Across fields of snowy white

Like waves of the sea it rolls

Lit by the moon in the night.

*

On tip-toe she dances

A smile on her face

Twirling, spinning, all around

These moments you can’t waste.

*

Pound of hooves on earth

Muscles taut like a chord

Man and beast move as one

Forward with one accord.

*

A hawk circles the sky

Waves toss in the ocean

A freefall before the dive

Beauty in Motion.
